Christmas Cards I Received

Below are some home made
Christmas cards I received this year :)

The tag on this one is made from wood !
The word Merry is cut out with decorative paper
layered behind it.
So country cute!

This is a photograph that my friend
took then had printed and sent to me as a card.
The view is Mt Hood from Rocky Butte in Portland.
Pretty !

What a fun vintage image on this CAS card !

Vintage Christmas Tree Card

I created this card for a challenge a month ago -
and never posted it !

While coloring in the tree image,
I got an inky finger print on the card stock.
It was nearly done at this point, argh!
I was still able to use it by covering it up
with a paper punch button and tag ;)

Thanks for looking and Merry Christmas !

Santa and His Sleigh Card

Another fun to color in old rubber stamp image from my collection.

It is a longer border image, so the finished card is 5x7.

Happy Christmas Eve !

Die Cuts and Quilling Angel Card

I originally made this angel as a gift card holder /
home decor piece for my Mom several years ago.
It had a pocket easel back where the gift card
was stored then it could stand up to be used as a decoration,
Since Mom has decided to downsize, getting rid of her holiday
decor (among other things), she gave this back to me.
I repurposed it into a Christmas card to give out this year.
It was a large card, mailed in a 5 x 7 envelope.

There are a few other ideas I shared on that post, too.

Thanks for looking =)

Simple Holly Christmas Card

I love the simple beauty of this card !

A panel of white card stock was run through
a holly embossing folder then mounted to a
white card base.

A hand cut banner was stamped with a sentiment
and red ink then edged with Diamond Stickles.
It's layered over a scrap of textured red card stock.

Ribbon Kitten Cards

What an adorable stamp image a friend gave me !
It was perfect to make cards with for two cat mom friends
as well as a card for each of my kids who adopted a cat
themselves the past year.
I'm a fur baby grandma now, ha ha !

The polka dot paper is from an old Die Cuts With A View stack.

The green cards with stitching were a set of
hand made, recycled paper cards I bought
on clearance at Target a few years ago.

The images were stamped on water color paper
then "painted" using inks from dye ink pads
and a water brush.

Thanks for looking =)

Ho Ho Ho Santa Cards

Using up some scraps, I created these simple, cute, mail friendly cards.

Papers were from an old Die Cuts With A View stack.

Stamp image is an oldie from Stampin' Up!
I normally use a dimensional paint on this stamp image,
giving texture to Santa's beard.

Thanks for looking =)

Felt Ornament Card

This card was made from such an old craft kit I've had for far too long !!!!
I made it for a recently married cousin. The tree is a removable ornament.
I added a tag to the back "Merry First Christmas as Mr and Mrs !"

DVD Folder

A quickie DVD folder  I made to send to a cousin
that was recently married. It holds all of the video footage,
photographs and digital scrapbook album we made for them.

The folder is made from an 11" wide
by 7 3/4" tall piece of card stock.

Score and fold in half along the 11"side.

Score in at 2 2/4", fold, trim and glue just the outer edges
along the 11" side to create two pockets.

Use ribbon to keep closed if you'd like.
You can punch holes at each opening to run the ribbon through
or attach with heavy duty double stick tape.

Decorate the cover (and inside) as you wish .

I used paper from a Die Cuts With A View stack,
die cuts I made.  A little embossing and sponging
of ink on the heart die cut for more detail.

Thanks for looking =)

Peppermint Joy Cards

Super quick set of cards (6 total) I made to give out to some cousins this year.

Three sheets of white card stock, one 12 x 12 piece of decorative paper (from an old Die Cuts With A View stack), die cut tags, stamp image (Hero Arts), red and white bakers twine, adhesive then some doodling was all I needed to put them together.

Thanks for looking =)
